Resource Centre Manager
30–32 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days)
£30,000–£32,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Based in Ashtead, Surrey
Do you enjoy helping people live more independently, finding practical solutions and making a genuine difference to people’s lives?
We are looking for someone who is practical, organised, people-focused and passionate about supporting people to lead our friendly Resource Centre service, helping people who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind access equipment, advice and support that can improve confidence, independence and everyday life.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. One day you might be supporting someone to find equipment that makes daily life easier, managing stock and suppliers or improving how the service runs; the next you could be working alongside colleagues and volunteers to ensure people receive the right support at the right time.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the Resource Centre, support a small, welcoming team and help shape the future of an important and growing service.
We’d love to hear from people with experience in retail, service delivery, operations, healthcare, adult social care, disability support or customer-facing management. Experience of sensory loss or assistive technology is helpful, but not essential.
You’ll bring:
- Strong people and organisational skills
- Experience coordinating a service, team or operational environment
- A practical, problem-solving approach
- Confidence building relationships with customers, colleagues, volunteers and suppliers
- Good organisational and administrative skills, including stock, ordering or service coordination
- A genuine desire to make a difference
In return, you’ll join a friendly and supportive charity where your work has a real impact every day.
Location: Bridgehead House, Ashtead, Surrey, with occasional travel across Surrey
Hours: 30–32 hours per week over 4 or 5 days
Salary: £30,000–£32,000 pro rata depending on skills and experience
