The summer 2026 edition of Signpost has hit your doormats and inboxes and features a round-up of our news plus some fabulous stories from the charity and the children and adults we support.
The front cover star this edition is Thomas, who has been supported by our children and young people’s team. Thomas was born with a cleft palate and hypertelorism and his sight has gradually deteriorated over the years. We caught up with Thomas, and his lovely mum, Tamzin and chatted about his life and loves (planes & trains) and his future aspirations.
Important news with this edition is our move to Ashtead, dates for our Community Hubs for the rest of the year and details on the local government reorganisation which is currently taking place.
Also, with this edition we sent out books of tickets to our summer raffle. There are 20 great prizes to be won including £250, afternoon tea for two at Cobham Hilton and an overnight stay for two at Holiday Inn including dinner and breakfast! Please help us raise as much money as we can by selling tickets to family and friends, if you need any more books of tickets please email fundraising@sightforsurrey.org.uk and request for more books to be posted out to you along with with your name and address. The raffle is being drawn on Monday 10th August, all tickets must be returned to us by Friday 7th August to be entered into the draw.
