Help us beat loneliness this Winter

Today, we are launching our Winter Appeal 2024, ‘Help us beat loneliness this Winter’, and we need your help to ensure that children and adults in Surrey who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind are not left lonely and isolated this Winter.

Our community services, like our Meet Up Catch Ups, rely on donations from generous supporters like you. Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a real difference to the lives of individuals like Reg, Dennis, Pam and Vanessa.

Reg has shared how our hubs have helped him connect with others: “I come to have a chat, cuppa and a biscuit, sharing stories with people in the same situation.”

Dennis expresses gratitude to the community: “We look forward to our monthly catch up to exchange news and ideas with like-minded people.”

Pam appreciates the understanding she finds: “It’s lovely to spend a couple of hours with people who understand what I’m going through with my sight loss.”

Vanessa said, “Sight loss can be isolating, but this group has given me a sense of connection, that I didn’t have before.”

Your support is vital this Winter to continue offering these invaluable services.

Together we can help bring warmth and friendship to the lives of those feeling lonely.
