Is there a way to tell the difference between tins of cat food and baked beans?  Can hot drinks be made safely? Why do size, light and contrast matter?

Living with Sight Loss Days are new events being run by Sight for Surrey around the County which provide answers to these questions and many more.

People living with vision impairment and combined sight and hearing loss can come along to sessions, which are  a mixture of ‘show, tell and try’, to find out about equipment, strategies and support available to meet the daily challenges of living with sight loss or to meet with others, access specialist workers, share stories and challenges over a cup of tea and light lunch.

This year we have run events in Woking and Caterham which over 50 people have attended.  Next year events are planned in the Surrey Heath and Elmbridge.  Look out for the information and invites to the event local to you!

Check out the photos from our event in Caterham which took place on the 2nd October. We also want to say a big thank you to Caterham Morrison’s, who provided vouchers for lunch and were so helpful!
