Front cover page of SignpostThe Winter 2025/26 edition of Signpost magazine is out now and briming with the incredible stories from the people we support and the latest news from the charity, it’s an unstoppable read!

Our front cover stars this edition are Calum and his Sensory Specialist Worker, Laura. Calum went blind after drinking alcohol laced with methanol in Laos and he went on national TV in August to warn others about the dangers of drinking alcohol where methanol poisoning is a concern. Calum is being supported by us with daily living skills and mobility training and you can find out how he is doing inside this edition.

The new edition also features an interview with Kesh Patel, a fitness expert who lived and adapted his life for over 30 years before he started receiving support for his vision impairment.

As well as stories from the amazing people we support this edition also features the 2026 dates for our award -winning Meet Up Catch Ups and Deaf Cafes and details of a Christmas carol concert in Egham that is raising funds for us.

If you, or someone you know would like to take on a fundraising event to raise money to help us support people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind then flick straight to page 11 where you will find lots of ideas to inspire you.

Keith, our AI Trailblazer also tells us about a new AI app called Pi that is designed to be empathetic, supportive and a companion to talk to at any time.

We produce Signpost in five formats, Large Print, Screen Reader, Braille, British Sign Language and Audio so, grab yourself a drink, put your feet up and read, watch or listen to Signpost Winter 2025!
