Chris McCausland with Lee, a young person supported by the charity. Our Children and Young People’s Service (CYPS) team took a group of blind and partially sighted young people we support to the Chris McCausland comedy show at Dorking Halls on Sunday 6th April.

The over 18’s group of young people all met outside Dorking Halls and went in together to their row 3 seats! The group really enjoyed the warm-up act of Jon Long, after which a short interval took place.

Chris McCausland then came on for his set which lasted around an 1 hour and 20 minutes. He talked and joked about his time on Strictly Come Dancing, failing his GCSE in French as well as a medical examination. He had the audience roaring with laughter with his antics!

At the end of his set, the CYPS group were told to remain in their seats and when the hall had emptied, the group were invited onto stage to meet Chris McCausland himself! The group laughed and joked with Chris and had their pictures taken individually and as a group. He asked about their eye conditions and ages and hoped they had enjoyed the show.

A big thank you to Chris, his team and Dorking Halls for organising our special meet and greet with Chris and making a fun night truly memorable!
