There are more than 350,000 Deafblind people in the UK according to SENSE – that number would fill the Surrey County Cricket Ground (The Oval) more than 14 times.
Sight for Surrey knows of 1700 people living in Surrey who have a combined sight and hearing loss, but national estimates suggest there could be at least 6000 in the county.
