What is a Communication Professional?

A Communication Professional supports people who are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, or who have both sight and hearing loss. Depending on your needs, we can provide:

  • British Sign Language/English Interpreters
  • Interpreters for people with combined sight and hearing loss
  • Deaf Translators
  • Lipspeakers
  • Electronic or Manual Notetakers
  • Speech‑to‑Text Reporters
  • Remote Video Communicators

We maintain a large database of trusted Communication Professionals. Our Sign Language Interpreters and Deaf Translators are NRCPD‑registered and regulated. Using our experience and knowledge, we match each client with the most suitable professional for their assignment.

We are also familiar with funding options such as Access to Work and Social Care Personal Budgets and can guide you through what may be available.

British Sign Language (BSL) Accessibility

What is Convo?

Convo is a service provider of online video interpreting services through its Video Relay Service (VRS) and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).

How does it work?

It enables Deaf people anywhere in the world to communicate with anyone, at any time through the Convo app. The app will connect you to a qualified British Sign Language Interpreter.

Using Convo, you can immediately communicate either face-to-face or by telephone when it suits you. You don’t need to pre-book an interpreter in advance.

How can I sign up?

Convo works like a mobile phone tariff; you have a fixed bundle of minutes you can use each month. For more information go to:  Convo UK | Home
