Eight vision impaired teenagers enjoyed a snow-tacular day at Hemel Hempstead Snowdome on Saturday 4th August as part of the Young People’s Inclusion Programme at Sight for Surrey.
The teenagers had a ski lesson and a Ringo session in the morning, followed by a tasty lunch and chance to chat with their friends at Sight for Surrey. They then hit the slopes again for a second lesson before heading home. Thank you to the Sight for Surrey staff and volunteers who accompanied the teens on the minibus and throughout the day. Everyone had a fantastic time and what a relief from the heat wave!
The Snowdome has something from everyone, whether you’re a beginner, expert or anything in between! As Britain’s newest Indoor Ski Centre they deliver the alpine conditions every skier and snowboarder dream of.
At Sight for Surrey, events like these would be impossible to organise without the generous financial gifts from various trust funds, individual donors and fundraising activities.
