Deaf Services Duty/Community Officer – Sensory Specialist Worker

Sessional up to 20 hours per week

Salary – £20,000 pro rata per annum

– (Mileage to be paid at 40p per mile)

We are delighted to be expanding our specialist Deaf services and welcome applicants for the new role of Deaf Services Duty/Community Officer.  The role combines supporting with our essential first point of contact for Deaf people in Surrey (Duty) with work in the community – linking services and support to Surrey Deaf residents.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who has experience in working in Adult Health & Social Care environment along with experience working or supporting Deaf people, to join our specialist Deaf Social Work Team providing a range of support to Deaf Surrey residents.

Commitment to person centred working, excellent communication skills, the ability to work flexibly, as part of a team, high level signing Skills, BSL (British Sign Language) collaborate effectively with others, and enthusiastic ‘can do’ approach are all essential. The post will involve travelling countywide. Job Share considered.
